Terms of Use
The rules for using Rally, in plain language. Effective 2 November 2026.
About these terms
Rally is run by Peak IT (“Rally”, “we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and us. By using Rally you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
Your account
- You need to be 16 or over to have an account.
- Sign in with an email address that is yours. Anyone who can read that inbox can sign in as you, so keep it secure, and sign out devices you no longer use on You.
- One account per person. Use your own name or a name people know you by.
- You're responsible for what is done with your account.
Organising on Rally
If you create a tournament, league, ladder or club, you're the organiser, and the event is yours, not Rally's. Rally gives you the tools to run it. You agree to:
- keep the details accurate: the date, time, venue, format, entry fee and how it's paid
- run the event yourself, including the venue, safety, insurance and the rules of play
- only add other people by name when they've agreed to take part, and add no more of their name than you need
- only create or manage a club page if you're allowed to act for that club
- share private event links only with the people you mean to invite
Schedules, court times and finishing times are worked out by Rally from what you entered. Times marked as estimates are estimates. A “Verified” label on a club means a Rally admin has checked that the club is real; it isn't an endorsement.
Entry fees and refunds
Paid at the venue
Organisers can set an entry fee per player. When players pay at the venue, in cash or by bank transfer, the payment is between the player and the organiser. Rally only records what the organiser marks, and refunds are up to the organiser.
Paid online
- Online payments go through Stripe, straight into the organiser's own Stripe account (or the club's, for a club's tournament). Rally never holds players' money and isn't the seller of the entry. Organisers who take payments online also agree to Stripe's terms and pay Stripe's fees.
- Players pay exactly the advertised fee. Rally keeps a platform fee of 2% of each online payment, taken from what the organiser or club receives.
- When an online payment is refunded, the player gets the full amount back. Rally keeps its 2% fee, as Stripe keeps its own fees. Organisers are told this before they turn on online payments.
- The refund rule for online payments, shown to players before they pay: Full refund, automatically, if the organiser cancels the tournament or turns down your request, if you withdraw or are withdrawn before the schedule is made, or if the last place goes while you're paying. After the schedule is made, ask the organiser.
- After the schedule is made, refunds are up to the organiser, who makes them in Rally or in their Stripe account. Organisers are responsible for their own refund promises and for their obligations to players under consumer law.
Credit
- Organisers can give players credit, for example a rain check or a prize. Credit can only pay entry fees at tournaments run by the organiser who gave it.
- Credit can't be bought, has no cash value, can't be swapped for money or moved to someone else, and never expires.
- The organiser who gave credit can take back what hasn't been used. If an entry paid with credit is refunded, the credit is given back.
Results and ratings
Enter scores honestly. Rally ratings are worked out from confirmed results in events that count towards ratings. They're a guide for finding good matches, not an official ranking, and they can change when a result is corrected.
Acceptable use
Don't use Rally to:
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or post offensive names or content
- pretend to be another person or a club you don't represent
- enter false results or manipulate ratings
- add other people's personal information without their permission
- send spam, or collect information about other users
- get around Rally's limits or security, or interfere with how Rally works, including by automated access
- break the law
Your content
What you put into Rally (names, event and club details, descriptions, scores) stays yours. You give us permission to store it, show it and share it as Rally needs to work, for example on a public tournament's page or a venue screen. You're responsible for it, and for having the right to add it. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
Availability
We work to keep Rally running well, but we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. Keep your own record of anything you can't do without, such as entry fee payments.
Consumer law and liability
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those guarantees or any other right you have that the law says can't be excluded.
As far as the law allows, where our liability for failing to meet a guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by organisers, clubs, other players, venues or Stripe.
Suspending or closing accounts
You can stop using Rally at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@peakit.au. We may suspend or close an account, hide a club, or remove content if it breaks these terms or puts other people at risk. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you why.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. You and we agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and we'll let you know before a significant change takes effect, for example by email. If you keep using Rally after a change, the new terms apply.
